Eiffel Tower pricing — a plain-language overview
Pricing structures change roughly once a year. These are the categories and relative price bands that have been stable; always verify the exact figure at the official billetterie before booking.
Standard ticket categories
- Second floor by stairs — the cheapest option. Good exercise, same floor-level view.
- Second floor by lift — adds 1.5–2× the stairs price.
- Summit by lift (second floor transfer) — roughly 2.5× the stairs price.
- Summit by lift + champagne glass — bundled premium, approximately double a standard Summit ticket.
Reduced categories
- Youth 12–24: substantially reduced on all ticket types.
- Children 4–11: further reduced, with a smaller supplement for stairs.
- Under 4: free with an adult booking.
- Registered disabled + one accompanying: free or symbolic charge, with pre-booking.
What's included — and what isn't
The ticket covers lift transit and access to the floor you've booked. It does not include the audio guide (separate app rental), the restaurant reservations, or any secondary transfer within the Tower that wasn't part of your original booking.
Our value picks
- Best for budget travellers: stairs to second floor. Honest view, half the cost, usually a shorter queue.
- Best for first-time visitors: Summit by lift. Pay once, go to the top, don't second-guess.
- Best for a special occasion: Summit + champagne, timed for a 20:00 slot in summer or 17:00 in winter.
